Over the weekend we were very happy to see our friends, Nick and Emily, get married in Dripping Springs. That’s them at the top of the post.
I brought my camera, as usual. One camera body and one lens. No flashes, no telephotos, no fancy equipment. I basically bring the equivalent of a point-and-shoot camera, just like everyone else’s, except mine is a little larger and it shoots in manual.
If you’ve been following my blog, you know I don’t shoot a lot of weddings. I prefer sports and journalism mostly. When my friends and family approach me about shooting their weddings, I usually tell them I’d rather enjoy the day with them as a guest, rather than being the one telling them where to stand and what to do from behind a camera.
However, I still bring my camera to make my own memories from my seat. I usually get a shot or two that I’m happy with that reflect the mood of the day. Here are a few from past weddings I’ve attended.
