Friday was a busy day for me. I drove out to College Station on Thursday night so I could get up early and shoot UIL Team Tennis state championships on Friday morning at Texas A&M. I stayed until about 1:30 p.m. or so, then drove back to Austin in time to cover the Georgetown v. Connally high school football game in Georgetown.
I was shooting the football game for the Statesman, as usual. (Tennis will be in another post.) The Georgetown stadium is nice. It’s really a sight for sore eyes after a long day of work. It makes my job easier knowing that there will be air conditioning, plenty of space to work, food, water, and a clean bathroom. The little things…
Anyway, Georgetown was undefeated going in to the game, and Connally had only lost one game this season. Georgetown scored first, and clearly dominated Connally the rest of the game. Final score was Georgetown 34 – Connally 0.
