On Friday night high school football fans enjoyed their first game of the 2011 season.
The Statesman sent me out to Burnet, where Burnet HS played Giddings HS.
Burnet did their best, but they couldn’t out score Giddings. The game started with Giddings’ running back, Joseph Glenn (28), scoring a touchdown in the second play. Glenn was clearly the star of the show with 244 yards rushing. The final score was Giddings 35, Burnet 19.
