Earlier this summer, I went to Three Dudes Winery in San Marcos for Community Impact.
Normally, there’s a lot of activity on their riverfront property, but during the hottest year ever, there’s a little less going on. It was a challenge to capture the mood of the place without many customers, the owners or the normal green surroundings.
Three Dudes Winery was started by three engineers who enjoyed making wine together. They bought some property and hired a manager and their dream was born. They all still do engineering most of the year, but they get together a few times to make wine.
Two women came in while I was there, which made for a nice couple of frames. I just wish I could have been there when it wasn’t so hot and dry. There was so much more to see and experience that was just not as beautiful as it could have been.
