Spay Day
Dr. Jeff Jorgensen performs a free neutering operation on Millo. Jorgensen, four other veterinarians and the San Marcos Animal Shelter participated in PALS Spay Day, which provided spay or neutering for low-income pet owners.
I took this shot two years ago at a Spay Day event.
I didn’t know what to expect when I was sent to a vet’s office to see a dog under the knife. I never expected that they would let me inside the operating room, or that the operating room would look very simalar to a regular operating room – including the lights.
Dr. Jorgensen was great and allowed me full access. I got a lot more graphic shots than this one, but I like the expression on the dog’s face. I’m not much for blood and guts either, so I think this shot very obviously says surgery without showing the actual cutting.
