A few days ago I explained that my husband Nick sits on the board of governors for the Recording Academy, which occasionally gets me in to places that I wouldn’t normally go. That includes the Grammy SXSW block party at the Four Seasons.
This party is definitely one of the more pleasant ones of the week. Good food, excellent location, great music, very classy.
As I said earlier, I don’t like to go complete “pro photographer” when I’m somewhere as a guest, so again I tried to stay low-key while shooting some snap shots of the concert.
It was a pretty good line up with Ruthie Foster (amazing!) up first, then Hanson (yep, Um Bop) and finally, Jimmie Vaughan (Stevie Ray’s brother).
