I was in Leander on Friday for their match up with Vista Ridge for the Statesman.
I was happy to get back to my Friday night high school football game routine. The lights were on, the clock was working and everything was running smoothly in a pretty nice stadium.
Everyone expected it to be a good game and both teams delivered. Vista Ridge outplayed Leander in the first half, but Leander came back in the third quarter and won 20-10. It was Vista Ridge’s first loss of the season.
What can I say? It was a good game, nice weather, good location – it doesn’t get much better than that.
