Happy Independence Day!
Everyone loves a summer parade on July 4th, so I’m showing these images from the Luling Watermelon Thump Parade! It’s mostly red and not too much white or blue, but the Thump is just about as American summer as you can get. I was there a few weekends ago for the Statesman.
I enjoy the Thump very much and I love to shoot it. Extenuating circumstances only allowed for a brief visit during the parade this year, but I still thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Anyway, here are some summer images to make you smile.
When the parade was over I stopped by the farmer’s market to see what the watermelon farmers were up to.
