On Friday night I was in Hutto for the Hutto v. Hendrickson High School football game for the Statesman.
It was the best game I’ve seen all season.
I shot the first half, which ended with a 14-14 tie, then I went across the street to edit and transmit photos. Danny Davis, the reporter covering the game, texted me the score after the third quarter and I decided to return to the stadium. The score was still tied at 21-21 at the end of regulation play, which led to overtime.
In overtime Hutto had the ball first and despite making it in to the end zone with a penalty, they couldn’t put points on the board before turning the ball over to Hendrickson. Hendrickson ran a few plays and kicked a field goal for the win.
