In my last post, I talked about covering the leaders of the 2011 Avia Austin Triathlon for the Statesman. This post is all about what was happening around and beside the race.
There’s so much going on during these events that it’s really difficult ignore the humor and special moments that occur among the spectators and volunteers, and among those athletes who aren’t hoping to win and just hope to finish.
