Wabbit Season

I have a very busy day today, but I will stop for a few minutes to show you a couple of shots I got at my church’s Easter egg hunt on Sunday.

I was able to pop out of the service for about 10 minutes to capture a few shots of our cutest members doing what they do best.

Here are the tips if you’re going to shoot an Easter egg hunt (though you may not use them until next year):

1)  Get low.  Just like any situation where you’re photographing children, get down on their level.

2) Anticipate where they’ll go and what they’ll do.  Even though it’s tough to predict what kids will do, if you set up next to an Easter egg, they’ll probably lean over and pick it up.  So keep clicking.

3) Brace yourself.  If you get in between them and the possibility of candy, you won’t slow them down, not even a little bit.

Here are a couple of shots from Sunday:

Those were from The Journey UMC in Kyle.

And now it’s time for me to get back to work!
