Paddlers from boat 4106 portage down the first set of rapids at Rio Vista Falls in San Marcos, TX on Sat., June 8, 2013 during the 2013 Texas Water Safari. Boat 4106, which competed in the unlimited class, included paddlers Fred Mynar, Kyle Mynar, Logan Mynar, Andrew Condie, Tommy Yonley and Jerry Cochran. They finished the race in first place overall, with a completion time of 39 hours, 45 min. The Texas Water Safari is an annual 260-mile canoe and kayak race that begins in San Marcos, TX at Aquarena Springs, travels down the San Marcos River and Guadalupe River to the San Antonio Bay, ending in Seadrift, TX. Over 100 teams had four days to complete the race, which is billed as the World’s Toughest Canoe Race.
