Incense Maker

A batch of sweet myrrh incense squeezes through a meat grinder as it is made by Keridwyn Hershberger, owner of Devonshire Incense and Soap Company, in her Smithville, TX shop on Wed., Feb. 15, 2012. The incense is heated as it is run through the grinder multiple times to achieve the desired consistancy. Her incense is sold wholesale to various monasteries. Hershberger, a fourth generation incense maker, continues her business after her Bastrop home and shop were destroyed in wild fires.
